A 15-year-old boy, recently released on bail in a theft case, was allegedly stabbed in Delhi’s Jahangirpuri area in an apparent act of revenge, police said on Thursday.
Officials have apprehended four people in connection with the attack, including three minors and one adult identified as Gautam (21), a resident of the locality.
According to police, the incident stemmed from a quarrel between the victim and one of the minors while they were lodged in jail.
After their release, the victim allegedly attempted to attack the minor, prompting the group to “settle scores” by assaulting him on 25 October.
The injured boy was first taken to BJRM Hospital and later shifted to RML Hospital for further treatment.
A case has been registered and all accused have confessed to their involvement, police said.
