Bihar BJP chief hits back at Kharge over RSS ban remarks

Bihar BJP chief Dilip Jaiswal on Thursday sharply criticised Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge over his remark that the RSS should be banned, calling it an example of the Congress’s “anti-Sanatan mindset.”

“He himself doesn’t know what he says. It’s not Mallikarjun Kharge’s fault, it’s Congress’s culture to insult Sanatan, Hindu ideology, and Hindu deities,” Jaiswal told reporters.

Citing Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments in Muzaffarpur, Jaiswal alleged that the Congress was trying to “appease its vote bank” by targeting Hindu traditions.

“They think that by insulting the RSS, Sanatan Dharma, and Hindu deities, they can appease their vote bank, but that’s their misunderstanding,” he said.

The remarks came hours after the NDA released its manifesto, ‘Sankalp Patra’, ahead of the Bihar polls.

Voting will take place in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.
