The Delhi High Court on Friday permitted Priya Sachdev Kapur, wife of late businessman Sunjay Kapur, to file his list of assets in a sealed cover in the ongoing partition suit filed by actor Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan Raj Kapur.
The court directed Priya Kapur to share a copy of Sunjay Kapur’s will with his mother, Rani Kapur, while ensuring that the document is placed in the custody of the Registrar General for secure handling and confidentiality.
Senior advocate Rajiv Nayar, representing Priya Kapur, stressed the need to protect sensitive details from media scrutiny, given the high-profile nature of the dispute.
However, senior advocate Mahesh Jethmalani, appearing for Karisma Kapoor’s children, opposed the plea for confidentiality, questioning its necessity.
Both parties assured the court that the documents submitted would not be leaked. The matter continues to draw significant public and legal attention.
