Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been suspended for the first two ODIs against South Africa after being handed two suspension points for his conduct during the Asia Cup 2025.
The ICC penalised Rauf for separate incidents in the group-stage match and the final against India, imposing a 30% match fee fine and awarding two demerit points for each offence.
The fiery pacer’s actions were deemed to have brought the game into disrepute.
India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has also been fined 30% of his match fee and given two demerit points for his involvement in the heated exchanges during the high-voltage encounters.
The disciplinary measures come after tense moments marked the India-Pakistan fixtures in the tournament, with match officials stressing the importance of maintaining discipline on the field even in emotionally charged contests.
