Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two major election rallies in Muzaffarpur and Chhapra on October 30, as part of his ongoing campaign for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections, BJP state president Dilip Jaiswal announced on Saturday.
Modi’s upcoming Bihar schedule
- October 30:
- 10 am: Rally in Motipur, Muzaffarpur
- 1 pm: Rally in Chhapra
- 10 am: Rally in Motipur, Muzaffarpur
- The two rallies will target around 44 assembly segments across the two districts and adjoining areas.
- Modi will also hold additional campaign events on November 2 and 3, just ahead of the first phase of polling on November 6.
Focus areas and strategy
According to BJP leaders, the rallies aim to strengthen the party’s hold in regions where it narrowly lost in the previous election, particularly in Saran district, where RJD won 6 out of 10 seats.
NDA’s seat-sharing arrangement
Under the NDA alliance in Bihar, the BJP and Janata Dal (United) are contesting an equal share of seats, while smaller allies like HAM and RLM have been allocated a few constituencies.
The alliance is banking on the support of OBC and EBC communities, who make up nearly 36% of the state’s population.
