During the second day of his Bihar Adhikar Yatra, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav claimed that the yatra is drawing massive crowds, with thousands showing up to express their discontent with the current government.
Tejashwi also accused the Nitish Kumar-led administration of failing the people, alleging rising corruption, extortion, and unchecked crime across Bihar.
“Wherever we are going, thousands of people are coming out on the streets to support this march,” Tejashwi Yadav told reporters, insisting that the turnout reflects the public’s anger with the present government.
He alleged that corruption and extortion have become rampant in block offices and police stations, further eroding trust in governance.
“The entire public of Bihar is furious with the current government. Crime has increased so much that people do not feel safe even in their own homes,” Yadav said, vowing to continue raising these issues through his campaign.
The second phase of Bihar Adhikar Yatra, which began in Jehanabad, is scheduled to pass through Begusarai, Khagaria and Madhepura, before concluding in Vaishali on September 20.
