In a landmark alliance, Reliance Industries Limited (through its arm Reliance Intelligence) and Google LLC have announced that eligible users of Jio Platforms will receive 18 months of free access to Google’s AI Pro suite, including the advanced Gemini 2.5 Pro model, enhanced image and video-generation capabilities and 2 TB of cloud storage.
The rollout begins with Jio unlimited 5G users aged 18–25 and will expand to all eligible users nationwide via the MyJio app.
Reliance and Google say this initiative supports India’s vision of democratising AI access and strengthening the nation’s digital and computer infrastructure.
By bringing cutting-edge AI tools into the hands of millions of users at no extra cost, the partnership marks a significant push in India’s AI landscape, offering both consumer benefits and enterprise-level build-out.
