Stand-up comedian Zakir Khan has announced that he will be taking a break from his extensive touring schedule due to prolonged health concerns.
The 38-year-old comedian, who has been one of India’s most prominent comedy voices for over a decade, shared an emotional note with fans through his Instagram stories titled “The Health Update.”
Khan revealed that while he has been grateful for the love and affection he has received, the intensity of his schedule has taken a toll on him.
“For the last one year, I have been unwell but had to keep working because it was necessary. Multiple shows in a day, sleepless nights, early morning flights and no proper meals- it hasn’t been healthy,” he wrote.
Admitting that he loves being on stage, Khan said it was time to prioritize his health before things spiral further.
He confirmed that his upcoming India tour will be limited to fewer cities and shows, after which he plans to take a longer break. Fans across social media have expressed support, wishing him strength and recovery.
