RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday accused the BJP of sidelining Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, claiming the party “doesn’t want him to become chief minister if the NDA returns to power.”
Addressing reporters after being officially declared the Mahagathbandhan’s CM candidate, Yadav criticised the NDA for lacking clarity on its leadership and agenda ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly election.
“No joint press conference has been held, no vision revealed, and no CM candidate announced,” Yadav said, adding that Amit Shah’s recent remarks confirmed the BJP’s reluctance to back Nitish.
Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot endorsed Yadav’s candidature, describing him as “a young person with a long future,” and urged voters to choose change amid rising unemployment and public dissatisfaction in Bihar.
