Amid flood scare across North India, the water level of Yamuna river is also continuously rising at Mathura. Several ashrams in Vrindavan have been inundated by the overflowing of the Yamuna river.
Heavy flow of the river water has entered the residential areas causing inconvenience to the locals. Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation and have issued an alert amid rising levels of the Yamuna river.
Currently, parts of North India including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Punjab, are under the trap of flood-like situation, bringing life to a standstill. With a similar situation arising in Mathura, parts of Uttar Pradesh are also likely to be severely impacted by the current situation.Â
In order to tackle the situation, it will be better if the residential areas are evacuated on time and precautionary measures are taken to lessen the impact of flood.
