Bollywood actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, who is visiting her Lok Sabha constituency Mandi to meet flood-affected residents, sparked attention with a personal remark about her own struggles.
During her visit, Ranaut revealed that her restaurant in Himachal Pradesh managed to earn only ₹50 in a single day, despite her obligation to pay ₹15 lakh in salaries.
“Imagine what I must be going through… I also have a restaurant here. Yesterday, I only did ₹50 worth of business. Please understand my pain too, I am human as well,” she said in a video that went viral on Thursday.
Her visit to rain-hit areas, including Manali’s Patlikuhal, however, was met with protests.
Locals displayed their dissent against their MP by showing black fags and raising slogans of “Go back Kangana, you are late.” Himachal Pradesh recently faced flash floods and landslides with lives lost, buses swept away and shops damaged.
