On Friday, September 19, 2025, the Bombay High Court received a bomb threat email, marking the second such incident in a week. Officials confirmed that the threat turned out to be a hoax after a thorough search on the premises.
The email, received early in the morning on the court’s official ID, warned of a bomb blast in the south Mumbai court building. Teams from the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and the dog squad conducted a detailed search, but found nothing suspicious. Court proceedings resumed as per normal schedule.
Earlier, a similar threat was received on September 12, causing temporary suspension of hearings. Police had registered a case against unidentified persons following that incident.
To ensure safety and prevent disruptions at the High Court, authorities continue to investigate the source of the emails.
