Doctors remove 50 objects from man’s stomach in bizarre Ghaziabad case

In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad, doctors removed 29 steel spoons, 19 toothbrushes, and two pens from the stomach of a 35-year-old man identified as Sachin, a resident of Hapur.

The man, admitted to a de-addiction centre by his family, reportedly swallowed the objects out of anger over the small portions of food served at the facility.

According to reports, Sachin would steal utensils, break the spoons into pieces, and push them down his throat, sometimes with the help of water.

He claimed that patients were given very little food daily, which triggered his extreme reaction.

Sachin was rushed to Devanandani Hospital with severe abdominal pain. X-rays and CT scans revealed the shocking number of objects inside his stomach.

While doctors first attempted endoscopy, the large volume of material necessitated surgery.

Dr. Shyam Kumar, who treated him, said such cases are often linked to underlying psychological conditions.
