On the eve of a historic final against South Africa, India Women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur called for focus, calm, and controlled ambition as her side aims to lift the title.
Reflecting on India’s emotional semi-final triumph over Australia, Kaur stressed the importance of resetting quickly.
“Skill-wise, we have done everything. It’s now about resting, recovering, and being as fresh as possible for tomorrow’s game,” she said, acknowledging the quick turnaround between matches.
Despite the high of defeating Australia, Kaur urged her players to stay grounded. “We have to enjoy this.
There can’t be anything bigger than this in our lives. We cannot think of bigger targets, have to keep smaller targets in mind,” she remarked, highlighting the team’s approach to maintaining composure.
