Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Monday, launched a sharp attack on the Modi government, alleging that citizens today face wrath for questioning those in power.
While on her visit to Rosera, Bihar, ahead of the assembly elections, Priyanka addressed a public gathering and accused the Centre of suppressing dissent and weakening democratic values.
Gandhi, compared the current Narendra Modi-led government to the British raj, claiming that people are “ threatened, beaten, and even killed” for raising genuine concerns, yet the government “gives no answers”.
Priyanka in her address, also pledged that if voted to power, the Grand Alliance government would prioritise people’s demands, announcing that Rosera will be made a district, a promise she said has been ignored for years.
