Owaisi targets Tejashwi Yadav over ‘extremist’ remark in Bihar rally

AIMIM chief Owaisi on Monday launched a fierce attack on RJD leader and opposition CM candidate Tejashwi Yadav during a rally in Bihar’s Kochadhaman.

Responding to Yadav’s alleged “extremist” remark, Owaisi mocked him, saying, “Tejashwi can’t even write the word ‘extremist’. Even people in Pakistan call me an extremist. It seems he got his education from terrorists there.”

Addressing supporters in Bishanpur, Owaisi accused the RJD of sheltering accused individuals and criticised JD(U) turncoat Mujahid Alam, calling him “a disciple of Modi”.

Owaisi also alleged that Yadav engineered defections in his party, after four of AIMIM’s five MLAs joined the RJD in 2022.

With AIMIM fielding 25 candidates, including 14 in Seemanchal, Owaisi projected himself as a clear alternative in the region ahead of the November 11 polling, asserting he doesn’t do “politics with the people of Bihar, especially Seemanchal”.
