NAAC issues show-cause notice to Faridabad’s Al Falah University

A show-case notice has been issued by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) to the Al Falah University for falsely claiming an ‘A Grade’ accreditation on its website.

On Thursday, NAAC clarified that the university “has neither been accredited nor volunteered for Cycle-1 for Assessment and Accreditation,” calling the claim “absolutely wrong and misleading” to students, parents, and stakeholders.

The regulatory body has posed seven questions to the Al Falah university, demanding an explanation as to why action should not be taken for misrepresentation.

The controversy deepens as Al Falah University has come under intense scrutiny following the car blast near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening that killed at least ten people.

All the doctors accused in the terror attack  including Dr. Umar Nabi, Dr. Muzammil Shakil, and Dr. Adil Ahmad is reportedly linked to the institution.

Meanwhile, the Haryana Bomb Squad, along with central agencies, is currently investigating the university campus to trace possible connections to the blast and verify any misuse of laboratory chemicals or equipment.
