The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on Tuesday revoked Stage IV restrictions under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) in Delhi-NCR following a marginal improvement in air quality.
The decision came after Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) dropped to 378, remaining in the “very poor” category.
The capital had recorded an AQI of 410 on Monday and 440 on Sunday, both in the “severe” range, prompting stricter curbs earlier.
However, officials cautioned that preventive steps under lower stages of GRAP will remain in force, and restrictions could be reimposed if air quality deteriorates again.
