Days after actor Kajol’s controversial remark about marriages, her actor-husband Ajay Devgn shared his candid take on love changing over time.
Speaking in an interview with BookMyShow alongside co-actor R Madhavan while promoting De De Pyaar De 2, Ajay remarked that the essence of love has “diminished” in today’s world.
“From what I see, it has become more casual than it was. The word ‘love’ has been used so much unnecessarily that it has lost its meaning,” Ajay said, adding that in his generation, saying “I love you” carried depth and sincerity.
Madhavan echoed his thoughts, recalling how even signing a card with “love” once meant something significant.
Kajol, in her recent appearance on Two Much with Twinkle and Kajol, had stated that marriages should have a renewal clause, explaining that it would spare people from “suffering for too long.”
Despite their differing views, Ajay and Kajol remain one of Bollywood’s most admired couples, celebrated for their enduring 25-year relationship.
