Team India’s hunt for a jersey sponsor comes to an end as Apollo Tyres won the sponsorship rights, after Dream 11’s exit, following the ban on online gaming apps.
A senior BCCI official confirmed the news to PTI on Tuesday, revealing that Apollo Tyres will step in as the team’s kit sponsor, replacing the fantasy gaming platform.
The Men in Blue are currently competing in the Asia Cup in Dubai without a title sponsor, but that gap will now be filled.
According to NDTV sources, Apollo Tyres will pay approximately ₹4.5 crore per game, higher than the ₹4 crore previously paid by Dream11.
The multi-year deal, which runs until 2027, is expected to generate around ₹600 crore for the BCCI, strengthening its sponsorship revenues at a crucial time.
