A Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to Gaganpreet Kaur, accused in the high-profile Dhaula Kuan BMW accident case that claimed the life of senior government officer Navjot Singh.
The Patiala House Court granted her bail on a personal bond of ₹1 lakh and two sureties of the same amount. She has also been directed to surrender her passport, ANI reported.
The tragic incident occurred near the Delhi Cantonment metro station when Kaur’s BMW allegedly rammed into a two-wheeler, killing 52-year-old Navjot Singh, Deputy Secretary in the Department of Economic Affairs under the Union Finance Ministry while leaving his wife severely injured.
The accident, which has stirred shock across the capital, raised concerns over reckless driving in the city.
