Within just five days of release, Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty starrer Border 2 has managed to collect ₹187.17 crore and is inching closer to the ₹200-crore mark at the domestic box office.
The war drama has maintained strong momentum despite the expected weekday slowdown. The film opened to a solid ₹30 crore on Day 1, followed by a strong jump on Saturday with ₹36.5 crore.
Collections peaked on Sunday at ₹54.5 crore, reflecting massive weekend footfalls. The upward trend surprisingly continued on Monday as the film added ₹59 crore.
On Day 5 (Tuesday), earnings dipped sharply, with ₹10.17 crore recorded by 6 pm, according to Sacnilk.com, taking the total to ₹187.17 crore, with more shows still underway.
City-wise box office performance
Occupancy levels on Tuesday were mixed across centres. Jaipur emerged as the strongest market with 39.5% occupancy, followed by Chandigarh at 29%.
NCR and Lucknow reported 22.5% each, while Mumbai (17%) and Pune (16.5%) remained moderate. Southern cities saw muted response, with Chennai at 23.5%, Bengaluru at 14% and Hyderabad at 12.5%.
