Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced a relief package for those impacted by Monday’s tragic car blast near the Red Fort.
The deadly blast that occurred last evening, claimed at least 13 lives and left over 30 injured. The injured were taken to the Lok Nayak Jayprakash (LNJP) Hospital in Delhi.
Expressing deep sorrow over the incident, Gupta announced the Delhi government stands firmly with every affected family.
Under the relief measures, families of those who lost their lives will receive a sum of ₹10 lakh, while the permanently disabled will be given ₹5 lakh each.
Further, those people who got seriously injured will receive ₹2 lakh compensation from the Delhi government.
The government has also assured full responsibility for the treatment of the injured.
“The peace and security of Delhi is our utmost priority,” Gupta said, adding that the administration is working with vigilance and compassion to support the victims and their families.
