Delhi Police crack down on cyber fraudsters under Op CyHawk 3.0

Through the Operation CyHawk 3.0, the Delhi Police has intensified its fight against cybercrime taking strict action against 2,563 people linked to cyber fraud cases involving more than ₹627 crore. 

The coordinated operation named Operation CyHawk 3.0, was carried out over two days across Delhi and more than 10 states.

Police said over 6,500 people were rounded up for questioning, while 955 accused were arrested or bound down. Additionally, 1,608 legal notices were issued, 299 fresh FIRs were registered and 262 previously reported cases were linked during the drive.

The operation targeted mule bank account operators, SIM-linked facilitators, digital intermediaries and financial conduits used in online scams, including investment and job frauds. 

Police seized mobile devices, SIM cards, cash, gold and other valuables, and also identified cryptocurrency proceeds linked to fraud cases.

Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golchha said Operation CyHawk reflects a sustained strategy to dismantle the organised ecosystem supporting cyber fraud by disrupting its financial and digital backbone.
