The Gen-Z protests against the government-imposed ban on social media apps has taken a brutal turn as former Nepal PM Jhalanath Khanal’s wife Rajyalaxmi Chitrakar, was killed by the protestors.
As the protestors put their house on fire, Rajyalaxmi succumbed as she was set on fire. As reported by Nepali outlet Khabar Hub, a mob trapped her inside the house and set the house on fire.
A video of Khanal’s wife being carried by some people is grabbing attention online. Nepal’s PM KP Sharma Oli and Ram Chandra Paudel have resigned amid the deteriorating situation of the nation.
Even though the governemnt has revoked the controversial law yet the situation remains fragile.
