Veteran actor Dharmendra has finally returned home after being hospitalized at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, bringing relief to his family and countless fans.
The 89-year-old actor, who was admitted due to age-related health complications, was discharged early on November 12.
His wife and actress Hema Malini has now opened up about the difficult days the family endured during his illness.
Speaking to film critic Subhash K. Jha, Hema shared, “It has not been an easy time for me. Dharamji’s health is a matter of great concern for us. His children are sleepless. I can’t afford to be weak, too many responsibilities. But yes, I am happy he’s back home.”
She added that while the family is relieved, his recovery remains in the hands of the Almighty.
The Deol family also issued an official statement requesting privacy and urging fans to avoid speculation.
“We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life,” the statement read.
Celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Govinda had earlier visited Dharmendra in the hospital.
