Mumbai Police on Friday confirmed receiving bomb threats on the official WhatsApp number of the Mumbai Traffic Police. The message claimed that 34 “human bombs” had been planted in vehicles across the city and warned, “The blast will shake entire Mumbai.”
It further alleged that a group called ‘Lashkar-e-Jihadi’ had infiltrated 14 Pakistani terrorists into India and that 400 kg of RDX would be used in the attacks.
Police said they are on high alert, with security tightened across Maharashtra, and all aspects of the threat are currently under investigation.
