Nagpur’s ₹998-crore Indora–Dighori flyover project has become the talk of the town after images of a bizarre design flaw went viral.
A section of the flyover curve at Ashok Chowk appears to slice dangerously close to a house balcony, prompting netizens to dub it the city’s first ‘flyover-touch house.’
Videos and photos of the concrete slab brushing past the balcony have sparked both outrage and amusement, with social media users slamming the episode as “planning gone rogue.”
The house, belonging to the Patre family, reportedly received notices from the Nagpur Municipal Corporation months ago, but no compensation or demolition has taken place.
While the National Highways Authority of India maintains the structure is an encroachment, locals say the flyover highlights how mega projects can bulldoze past basic considerations of safety and humanity.
