NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar on Tuesday raised serious questions over the death of Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, who was killed in a plane crash in Baramati on January 28, and demanded a comprehensive and transparent investigation into the incident.
Addressing a press conference, Rohit Pawar questioned the maintenance history of the chartered aircraft and the functioning of the company that operated the flight.
He alleged possible sabotage and claimed that the probe was progressing at a “very slow pace,” raising concerns about potential manipulation of evidence.
The MLA further demanded that Ajit Pawar’s family members be allowed access to details from the aircraft’s black box, including its recordings and findings.
Rohit also accused the company of attempting to influence the investigation and called for the immediate cancellation of all government contracts awarded to VSR Ventures.
Ajit Pawar was travelling to his constituency Baramati to attend public rallies for rural body elections when the aircraft crashed just before landing, killing him along with four others, including crew members and security staff.
