Ahead of upcoming municipal corporation polls in Maharashtra, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) MP and party chief Supriya Sule, on Monday cleared the air about family feud.
The Sharad Pawar-led NCP has joined hands with Ajit Pawar’s factions for the polls, Sule asserted that there has never been any rift within the Pawar clan.
Speaking ahead of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) polls, Sule said the focus should remain on governance and public issues rather than internal politics.
She also targeted the Mahayuti government over the rising crime rate in Pune, stating that she had repeatedly written to the Chief Minister seeking action.
Sule said her party has released a “progressive manifesto” and expressed confidence that voters in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad would support the alliance.
Elections to major civic bodies, including PMC and PCMC, will be held on January 15, with counting scheduled for January 16.
