Op Sindoor brilliant example of civil-military fusion: Rajnath Singh

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday described Operation Sindoor as a powerful demonstration of civil–military fusion, highlighting how India’s administrative machinery and Armed Forces worked in complete synergy during the counter-terror operation.

Speaking at the valedictory ceremony of the 100th Common Foundation Course at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, Singh told young civil servants that their role in safeguarding national interests was as critical as the soldiers’ on the front lines.

He said the coordinated efforts of the Armed Forces and administrative officers ensured efficient information flow and boosted public confidence.

“The Armed Forces destroyed the terror camps in Pakistan and PoK in a balanced and non-escalatory response. But it was the misbehaviour of the neighbouring country that prevented the situation along the border from returning to normal,” Singh said.

Praising officials for conducting timely mock drills and managing communication during the operation, he stressed that stronger cooperation between governance and national security structures is key to achieving the goal of a Viksit Bharat by 2047.

Singh added that India’s rapid economic rise, from the 11th-largest economy in 2014 to the fourth today, should inspire civil servants to work innovatively and harness technology to solve public challenges.
