In a tragic incident in Rajasthan’s Balotra, a 32-year-old woman and her three minor children were found dead in a water tank late Wednesday night, with police suspecting suicide.
According to officials, the woman allegedly jumped into the tank with her children around 11:30 pm after other family members had gone to sleep.
Circle Officer Neeraj Sharma said the woman had arrived with her mother-in-law and children ten days earlier to help with the harvest.
Her husband, who runs a medical shop in Bengaluru, was informed of the incident. The bodies were discovered by her mother-in-law around 7:30 am on Thursday.
Police and civil defence teams retrieved the bodies and sent them for postmortem. Authorities said the exact cause behind the suspected suicide is under investigation.
