Faridabad Police have succeeded in locating the red Ford EcoSport (registration number DL 10 CK 0458) suspected to be owned by Dr. Umar Un Nabi, the prime suspect in Delhi Red Fort blast case.
The EcoSport car was found parked near Khandawali village, a Faridabad Police spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Delhi Police had issued an alert for the car, registered in Dr. Umar’s name, and circulated its details to police units across Delhi-NCR.
Investigators suspect the vehicle may have been used as a part of a wider terror network under probe.
Dr. Umar was earlier seen driving a Hyundai i20 just minutes before it exploded near Delhi’s Red Fort on November 10, killing several people and damaging nearby vehicles.
The discovery of the EcoSport is expected to provide key leads in unraveling the larger terror plot.
