A Delhi court on Saturday remanded four accused in the Red Fort car blast case, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganai, Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather, Dr. Shaheen Saeed and Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay to another 10-day judicial custody.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) produced the four before the Patiala House Court earlier in the day.
The development follows their earlier remand to 10-day NIA custody as investigators probe what they describe as a “white-collar” terror module linked to the November 10 explosion near the Red Fort.
The agency has alleged that the accused were connected to the Faridabad terror network, from which nearly 2,900 kg of ammonium nitrate and other explosive materials were seized from locations tied to Dr. Muzammil.
According to the NIA, Dr. Muzammil and Dr. Adeel worked at Al Falah University in Faridabad, while Dr. Shaheen stayed on the campus and allegedly assisted in recruiting individuals into the terror module.
Mufti Irfan Wagay, from Shopian, is also suspected to be part of the network. The investigation remains ongoing.
