Saraswati Puja, Friday namaz held peacefully at Bhojshala in MP

Saraswati Puja rituals and Friday prayers were conducted peacefully on Friday at the Bhojshala complex in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district, with the administration ensuring smooth conduct of religious activities by both communities.

The arrangements were made in line with directions issued by the Supreme Court to prevent any communal tension at the disputed 11th-century monument.

As per the court’s time-sharing formula, Hindu devotees were permitted to perform Saraswati Puja and mahaarti from sunrise to sunset on the occasion of Basant Panchami. Meanwhile, members of the Muslim community were allowed to offer namaz between 1 pm and 3 pm.

Dhar district collector Priyank Mishra said Hindu rituals, including havan and recitations, began early in the morning and continued as scheduled.

Around 1 pm, Muslim worshippers were escorted to the site in police vehicles and offered Friday prayers at a designated area under security supervision.

The district administration deployed adequate police personnel and maintained strict coordination throughout the day. Officials confirmed that all rituals concluded without any untoward incident, and the situation at Bhojshala remained completely peaceful.
