Veteran actor and comedian Satish Shah, celebrated for his impeccable comic timing and memorable roles across television and cinema, passed away on Saturday at the age of 74 due to kidney failure.
Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed the news in a heartfelt Instagram post, sharing that Shah was rushed to Hinduja Hospital, where he breathed his last. “A great loss to our industry. Om Shanti,” Pandit wrote.
Shah, known for his iconic performances in shows like Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and films such as Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, and Main Hoon Na, was widely regarded as one of the finest comic actors of his generation.
His manager later confirmed the news to PTI. Tributes have poured in from across the film industry, mourning the loss of a true entertainer.
