Royal Challengers Bengaluru all-rounder Ellyse Perry has withdrawn from the upcoming Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, citing personal reasons.
Perry has been a key member of the RCB-W squad since the inaugural WPL season in 2023 and played an important role in the team’s performances over the last three editions.
Sayali Satghare has been announced as the replacement for the Australian star.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals Women have also been dealt a blow, with all-rounder Annabel Sutherland withdrawing from the tournament due to personal reasons.
The fourth edition of Women’s Premier League is scheduled to begin on January 9, with the Mumbai Indians Women (MI-W) taking on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women (RCB-W) in the season opener at the DY Patil Stadium.
Mumbai Indians are the defending champions, having clinched their second WPL title in 2025.
