Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah has hit back at former cricketer Mohammad Kaif’s analysis of his bowling spells under different captains.
Kaif, in a post on X, claimed that Bumrah generally bowled overs 1, 13, 17, and 19 under Rohit Sharma, but during the Asia Cup under Suryakumar Yadav’s leadership, he bowled a three-over spell upfront.
Kaif further suggested that Bumrah now prefers to bowl after warming up, which could impact India in the upcoming World Cup.
Bumrah dismissed the observation with a sharp reply, writing, “Inaccurate before inaccurate again 👍🏽,” making it clear that he disagreed with Kaif’s reading of his workload and strategy.
The exchange comes as Bumrah remains central to India’s Asia Cup 2025 campaign in the UAE.
On Tuesday, India defeated Bangladesh to book their spot in the final, where Bumrah’s bowling will once again be crucial in the team’s hunt for the title.
