Two lawmakers removed from Israeli parliament for ‘genocide’ posters

Two left-wing members of Israel’s Knesset were escorted out of parliament on Monday after they disrupted US President Donald Trump’s address by unfurling a poster that read “genocide.”

The protest erupted shortly after Trump began his speech, prompting security personnel to intervene and remove the lawmakers from the chamber.

The disruption occurred during a high-profile session marking Trump’s visit to Israel, coinciding with the release of 20 Israeli hostages by Hamas under a US-brokered ceasefire deal.

After a brief pause, Trump resumed his speech, remarking wryly, “That was efficient,” drawing laughter and applause from the assembly.

Earlier in the day, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed Trump as “the greatest friend Israel has ever had in the White House,” as the two leaders addressed the parliament amid hopes for a lasting peace following the Gaza ceasefire breakthrough.
