The incident took place at a memorial gathering marking the death anniversary of lyricist Vaali. In the viral clip, Amaran is seen speaking to the media when a fan stands behind him.
Irritated, Amaran turns and says, “Come on, you speak.” The fan, believing it was a genuine invitation, approaches the mic, only for Amaran to walk away and snap, “Is this how you stand behind when someone is talking?” The fan appears visibly embarrassed before stepping aside.

The video quickly drew criticism online, with many accusing Amaran of arrogance and unnecessarily humiliating the fan.
“The way that guy handled it shows how mature he is,” one user wrote on X, while another questioned how the fan caused any disturbance.
