“The H-files”: Rahul Gandhi alleges of vote theft in Haryana

Adding to the political tension,Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi with his new press conference has alleged ECI and BJP of vote theft and malfunctioning in Haryana assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference in the capital and unveiling what he termed the “H-files,” Gandhi alleged that the recently concluded Haryana assembly polls were “deeply compromised”, with lakhs of votes cast under dubious identities, manipulated postal ballots, and large-scale deletions from voter lists.

“This is not vote chori (vote theft) – this is democracy chori,” he said, insisting the alleged operation was orchestrated “from booth level to the top”.

The Congress leader claimed his party had flagged discrepancies to the ECI but received “silence and denial instead of action,” accusing the poll watchdog of “acting as a political instrument of the BJP, not a constitutional authority”.

Gandhi also shared visuals, including voter list entries, booth-level data, and testimonies, alleging rampant duplication and fabricated voter identities.

One example he highlighted involved a woman who allegedly voted under multiple Indian names across several booths, later identified as a Brazilian model. “Who is she? Where does she come from?” Gandhi asked, adding, “But she managed to vote 22 times. That tells you the scale.”
