RJD put ‘katta’ to Congress’ head, snatched CM face: PM Modi

Addressing a rally in Bihar’s Bhagalpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a sharp attack at the opposition, accusing RJD of forcing Congress to give up the CM’s post.

Modi alleged that the RJD “put a katta (country-made gun) to Congress’s head” to snatch the candidacy, mocking the alliance’s internal disputes.

He further added that the RJD’s 15-year rule represented “jungle raj”, marked by “kroorta (cruelty), katuta (bitterness), kushasan (misgovernance), and corruption.”

Mocking RJD’s political culture, Modi said, “In their curriculum, ‘a’ stands for apharan (kidnapping), ‘f’ for firauti (ransom). And ‘p’ for parivarvaad (dynasty).”

Voting for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections started today and PM Modi praised active and enthusiastic women participation in the electoral process.

The second phase of elections in Bihar will take place on 11 November, 2025 and results will be out on 14 November.
