On Tuesday, the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) filed a formal complaint against the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), accusing it of breaching the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) during the second phase of the Bihar assembly elections.
BJP alleged that RJD’s social media post aimed to “mislead voters and manipulate perception” on polling day, terming it an act that “strikes at the root of democracy.”
Earlier in the day, RJD’s Facebook post claimed that BJP and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) workers were not facilitating votes for the Janata Dal (United), triggering a sharp response from the BJP.
Meanwhile, Bihar witnessed its highest-ever voter turnout of 67.14% provisionally in the second phase of polling, PTI reported.
Exit polls are set to be out around 6:30 pm today with the final results set to be declared on November 14.
