Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) on Saturday has issued fresh advisory amid dense fog and poor visibility conditions that continue to disrupt flight operations.
Airport operator Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) said low visibility procedures were currently in place and urged passengers to stay in touch with their respective airlines for real-time updates.
In a post on X, DIAL said that while flight operations are continuing under low visibility protocols, weather conditions could impact schedules.
Passengers are advised to check flight status and travel updates through airline channels before heading to the airport.
The advisory came as thick fog enveloped Delhi, leading to significant disruptions in air traffic. According to officials, over 120 flights were cancelled during the day, including dozens of arrivals and departures.
Authorities said such disruptions have been frequent over the past week, with visibility remaining particularly low during morning hours due to prevailing winter conditions and poor air quality.
