Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has been fined 30% of his match fees for using abusive language during the India vs Pakistan clash in the Asia Cup 2025 on September 21.
The incident occurred when Rauf sent off India’s Sanju Samson after a dismissal. Rauf pleaded guilty to the misconduct and accepted the sanction, handed down under the ICC’s code of conduct.
Meanwhile, Pakistan batsman Sahibzada Farhan, who celebrated with a gun gesture in the same match, has not been fined.
The ICC issued him a formal warning, advising him not to repeat such celebrations in future matches.
India and Pakistan are set to meet for the third time in the 2025 Asia Cup, but this encounter on September 28 will mark their first-ever Asia Cup final clash.
