The Opposition’s Mahagathbandhan alliance is set to release its joint manifesto for the Bihar Assembly elections on October 28 in Patna, ANI reported.

The alliance, which includes the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress, and Left parties, seeks to mount a strong challenge to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s NDA government. The Bihar polls are scheduled to be held in two phases in November.

Top leaders to campaign together

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD chief Tejashwi Yadav will address joint rallies before the first phase of voting and again before the second phase.

Senior Congress figuresPriyanka Gandhi Vadra and party president Mallikarjun Kharge will also begin their campaign in the state on October 28, right after the Chhath Puja festival.

Seat-sharing and key promises

Seat-sharing arrangements within the alliance have reportedly been finalised, with the RJD contesting the maximum number of seats, followed by the Congress and Left parties.

The upcoming manifesto is expected to focus on employment creation, farmer welfare, education, and social justice.
