Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday congratulated the people of Bihar and the NDA alliance for what he described as a “historic and unprecedented” mandate in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections.
With the NDA leading in 204 out of 243 seats, and the Mahagathbandhan struggling to cross even the 50-seat mark, the ruling coalition is poised for a dominant return to power.
In a series of posts on X, Modi said the results reflected the triumph of “good governance, development, public welfare and social justice.”
He expressed deep gratitude to the people of Bihar for their overwhelming support and said the mandate strengthens the NDA’s determination to continue serving the state with renewed commitment.
Modi also praised every NDA worker for their tireless efforts, saying they countered misinformation with facts and took the government’s development work directly to the people.
He added that the coming years will focus on accelerating Bihar’s growth, improving infrastructure and promoting the state’s cultural heritage.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed that the NDA will ensure better opportunities for youth and women, promising a “prosperous and empowered” future for the people of Bihar.
