In a fresh development in the ongoing investigation into the deadly blast near Delhi’s Red Fort, authorities have recovered a flight ticket from Srinagar to Delhi bearing the name of Dr. Adil Ahmad.
The ticket was found in a garbage pile outside his rented residence in Aman Vihar Colony, Manakmau, along Saharanpur’s Ambala Road on Wednesday, officials told PTI.
Dr. Ahmad, a native of Jammu & Kashmir, was arrested from Saharanpur last week for his alleged role in the November 10 car explosion at the Red Fort that killed at least ten people.
The recovered air ticket indicates that he flew from Srinagar to Delhi on October 31, just days before the blast.
Investigators believe the ticket could provide key insights into the movement and planning of the suspects involved.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is leading the probe, is now verifying whether Dr. Ahmad met with co-accused Dr. Umar Nabi or others during his stay in the capital.
Authorities are also examining potential links between Ahmad’s travel and the procurement of explosive materials used in the attack.
