The Delhi Police launched a city-wide public awareness campaign under its “Eyes and Ears” scheme across all 15 districts. Coordinated by the district police and the Public Relations Office (PRO), the initiative encourages citizens to actively participate in maintaining safety and vigilance.
The scheme urges residents to report suspicious individuals, unattended items, unusual activities, or potential crimes. With the upcoming festive season, the campaign focuses on crowded public spaces like markets and shopping plazas.
Awareness was spread using short films on large screens, posters, pamphlets, standees, and the Jansampark Vahan of the Delhi Police. Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) and Local Market Welfare Associations (MWAs) were mobilised to promote community responsibility.
Field officers spoke at events, highlighting the importance of citizen cooperation and prompt reporting. The campaign was conducted under the supervision of Additional CP/PRO Sanjay Tyagi and guided by ACP/APRO Ranjay Atrishya.
By running the drive simultaneously across Delhi, the police aim to maximise outreach and reinforce that vigilance in public areas is a shared responsibility, ensuring safer communities for all.
