Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan says ‘I don’t care’ after gun gesture celebration in Asia cup match

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan scored 58 runs off 45 balls to help his team reach 171 against India in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 match. His innings provided stability in the middle before Shivam Dube dismissed him.

Farhan’s celebration after reaching his half-century, where he made a gun gesture, sparked criticism from fans.

Speaking ahead of Pakistan’s next match against Sri Lanka, Farhan said he doesn’t care about public opinion and celebrated as he wished . “It suddenly came to my mind that let’s do a celebration today. I did that. I didn’t care how people will take it,” he said.

He also stressed Pakistan’s focus on powerplays, noting that the team scored over 90 runs in the first 10 overs against India but needs to avoid losing early wickets in future matches.
